Local news in much of Australia has thinned out. Whole communities now go uncovered, not because the stories stopped, but because the newsrooms did.
AI News is our attempt to help close that gap responsibly. We use AI-assisted tools, under human oversight, to gather and report local news from named, checkable sources, and we bring the latest from each city together here. We think readers deserve to know when AI is involved, so we tell you, on every page.
We hold ourselves to plain rules: ground every story in sources, review anything sensitive before it runs, correct mistakes openly, and never invent a source, a quote or a byline. We do not claim to be the biggest or the first. We would rather earn your trust one accurate story at a time.
