AI News
How we work
AI News is a national masthead that gathers the latest local reporting from The Daily Network's Australian city sites. This page explains how our stories are made and the standards every article must meet before it is published.
Sourcing
Every article is grounded in named, checkable sources. Our automated checks hold any story that cannot be backed by a source, and we do not publish unsourced hard news or unverified claims about named living people.
AI assistance and human oversight
Our reporting is produced with AI-assisted research and drafting under human oversight. Content passes automated checks for sourcing, accuracy and editorial risk, and flagged material is reviewed by a person before it is published. We disclose AI involvement on every page rather than hiding it.
Accuracy and corrections
We aim to be accurate and to fix mistakes quickly and openly. If something is wrong, tell us and we will correct it. See our corrections page.
Independence and ownership
Our newsroom decisions are made independently of commercial and advertising interests. AI News is operated by Daily Network Australia Pty Ltd and is part of The Daily Network, a group of local sites under common ownership. More detail is on our about page.
